Stefano Ciavatta, PhD, senior scientist at the Mercator Ocean international Stefano is a marine ecosystem modeller. He applies biogeochemical ocean data assimilation to investigate the functioning of the marine carbon cycle and to predict ecosystem indicators better. Stefano is leading the OceanPredict Marine Ecosystem Analysis and Predictions Task Team (MEAP-TT) as co-chair together with Dr Liuqian Yu from Hong Kong University.
