Laurent Kerléguer is the Director General of the French Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (SHOM), a position he has held since July 2019. An alumnus of ENSTA Paris (1988), he joined SHOM in 1989 and has since occupied various roles both ashore and at sea, including positions in Brest, Toulouse, Papeete, and aboard hydrographic vessels. His extensive career encompasses leadership in applied oceanography, international cooperation, and hydrographic mission management. In 2022, he was reappointed to his current role by presidential decree.
