Dr. Sudheer Joseph is a senior oceanographer and Scientist-G at the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), where he leads the Ocean Modeling and Research Group. He specializes in ocean general circulation, climate interactions, and operational forecasting, with a focus on the Indian Ocean. Dr. Joseph has been instrumental in implementing the Hybrid Coordinate Ocean Model (HYCOM) with data assimilation capabilities for the Indian Ocean region. He has also contributed to the Indian Argo program, enhancing the quality control of oceanographic data. His work supports international collaborations, including the OceanPrediction Decade Collaborative Centre, aimed at advancing global ocean forecasting systems.
